Mom

Last week my mom had surgery to remove a tumor that had grown in her abdomen. The day was long and full of prayer. All 6 of us (me, erika, dad, other melissa, tyler, and curtis) packed into a tiny pre-op room to keep my mom company for a few hours. We had fun keeping my mom calm (okay, so she kept us all calm actually) and playing family feud on my sister's computer. Once the surgery was over we received great news from the docs and all seems to be going well. Other than the fact she has had to stay in the hospital longer than expected. Read her blog to catch a funny glimpse of her life for the past week.
I'm so in love with that woman and I'm so happy that she is healthy and healing!

Shout Out.

Ladies Night

Every 6 months during priesthood session of general conference my mom, erika, and I go to ladies night at deseret book. If you have never been you should seriously consider going next april. They have a drawing going on all night to win books, pictures, gift baskets, etc. There is also live entertainment and usually some snacks! This weekend my mom wasn't able to go because she was in Colorado. So my sister and I decided to go to keep the tradition alive and went over there just the two of us. She was sorely missed. We first went to forever 21 and both bought new winter jackets that we both needed, another tradition we just might add to the weekend! Then we headed over to ladies night. We didn't win a thing. Too bad. But we got over it quickly once we scarfed down some cafe rio with the boys. I love conference weekend :)

I made it.

The last five days were too stressful. The life of a college student, I guess you could say. I won't name all the things that were due in my school life (2 tests, a presentation.. dang, I couldn't resist) or the situation I encountered in my personal life (I really won't this time) or tell you how many times I cried (6, I think) but I will tell you how grateful I am for prayer and feeling my Heavenly Father's love. That's how I survived the last five days.
